    Propane generator

    Living in Alaska and having a difficult time finding a 1000 kw generator. I finally found one at the local Honda shop. No one would wait on me. I left and started rethinking my need. My wife found ALP on line and we had no problems ordering and receiving our new propane powered generator. So far it works great for our needs. We have a Basecamp trailer RV that has solar panels. They work great but we wanted a small lightweight backup. It travels with us now. Another great feature is that we don’t need to carry extra liquid fuel. I believe that it operates cleaner and will require less maintenance.

    Great support. Quiet, efficient, stable output.

    I was looking for a lightweight propane-only generator, and had actually just ordered a different make/model when I learned about the ALPS generator. I had a couple questions, so I called the number on the web site and a live, knowledgeable person answered the phone, with no annoying phone tree. I needed it by the weekend and was calling on Monday or Tuesday, so the person I spoke with said if I placed the order, he would run out and make sure it got on the FedEx truck that night. The ALPS had several features I really liked better than the model I had ordered before, so I placed the order and returned the other one. Sure enough, it was on the FedEx truck that night, and arrived Thursday.

    Took it camping that weekend after filling the oil and giving it a test run at home, and it ran great. From 20ft away we could hardly hear it. I ran it both off a 20lb tank and off 1lb bottle when I needed the large tank for cooking, and it did great with both. Very consistent, clean power, easy starting. I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat, as long as they don't need to run higher power tools, etc. I don't expect this would run my 15A chop saw, but that's not what I bought it for. For its intended purpose, it's fantastic.

    Exceeds My Standards

    I am the co star of the show Dual Survival on the Discovery Channel. I know what works and what doesn't work when it comes to gear and equipment that I am going to have to rely on in a bad situation. No doubt my ALP generator is going to be an excellent addition to my survival kit. I only buy quality, and this generator exceeds my standards.
